WHO ARE THE USERS OF OUR SERVICES? PDF Print E-mail

Our services are designed for:

 

(i)         Creators of the original intellectual creations; that is authors and all other holders of copyright and related rights;

(ii)                Users of copyright works and related rights subjects (theatres, publishers, radio-broadcasting organizations, producers, and other legal entities that use copyright works and subjects of related rights in their work);

(iii)               All authors and related rights holders who deposit their works in our agency in order to ensure another material evidence of their authorship.  

 

·                    An Author can only be a natural person who has created a copyright work. Authors can specifically include:

 

(i)                  Authors of written works of any kind, such as writers, journalists, authors of scientific works and software, translations, adaptations and other reworks;

(ii)                Authors of spoken works;

(iii)               Authors of dramatic works, dramatico-musical works as well as authors of choreographic works;

(iv)              Authors of cinematographic and other audio-visual works;

(v)                Authors of fine art works from all areas of fine arts, authors of architectural works, graphics, applied arts and industrial design, as well as authors of photographic and cartographic works;

(vi)              Authors of technical and technological innovations, technical designs, sketches etc.

(vii)             Authors of software.

 

 

·                    A Copyright holder can be an heir of the author, a client who orders a copyright work and/or an employer with respect to the copyright work created during the employment.

 

·                    Related rights refer tors creation of copyright work and/or a employer regarding copyright work created during empld rights; the name :

 

a. performers’ rights in respect of their performances;

b. rights of producers of phonograms in respect of their phonograms;

c. film producers’ rights (producers of videograms) in respect of their videograms;

d. broadcasting organizations' rights in respect of their broadcasts;

e. publishers' rights in respect of their publications;

f. rights of producers of databases in respect of their databases;

 

 

The holder of related rights may be a performer (actor, singer, musician, dancer, theatre show director, orchestra conductor), phonogram producer, film producer, broadcasting organization, publisher, database producer.
